Thunderbird Hills is a family-owned 36-hole golf facility located along the beautiful banks of the Huron River. Just minutes from Cedar Point, Kalahari Resort, some of Ohio’s finest beaches, and the Lake Erie Islands, our location makes Thunderbird Hills a premier destination for both local golfers and visitors to the area.

The North Course, located at 1316 Mudbrook Road, opened in 1959 and showcases the classic character of mature trees and rolling fairways. A longtime favorite among local players, the North Course blends tradition with playability. Our spacious outing facility at the North Course accommodates up to 300 guests and features a walk-in cooler, built-in beer taps, a large gas grill, and stainless steel serving areas—making it ideal for tournaments, corporate outings, and special events.

The South Course, located at 1608 Mudbrook Road, offers a more modern design with expansive greens and lush bent grass fairways and tees. Opened in 1995 and designed by Bruce Palmer, the South Course shares the natural rolling terrain of the North while incorporating breathtaking elevated views of the Huron River along the middle holes of the front nine. The South Course outing pavilion overlooks the 9th green and accommodates up to 200 guests, complete with large gas grills, a cooler, serving area, and restrooms—creating a scenic and comfortable setting for memorable events.

Today, Thunderbird Hills remains proudly family-owned and is professionally managed by KemperSports, a nationally respected golf management company founded in 1978. For more than four decades, KemperSports has built a reputation for operational excellence, exceptional course conditions, and a genuine passion for the game.
